A little insight.
A lighter footprint.

This portfolio uses first-party analytics to understand which learning samples people open and how useful they find the site. There is no Google Analytics, advertising tracker or third-party analytics script.

Checking this browser’s preference…

This choice applies to this browser and origin. Clearing browser storage resets it. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected automatically.

What is collected

Page paths, sample and resource opens, link-click categories, the referring website’s domain, broad device and browser categories, approximate country and city, and active page time. A random browser ID resets each UTC day; a separate session ID renews after 30 minutes of inactivity. These are stored in first-party browser storage, not cookies, and are not used across other websites.

What stays private

The restored basic analytics does not save raw IP addresses, precise coordinates, names, emails, form values, quiz choices, typed text, full referring URLs or advertising identifiers. IP addresses are necessarily processed to deliver web requests, but the analytics code does not retain them. Approximate geography comes from the hosting network when available.

The learning samples retain their existing learning interactions. This analytics update does not send learner responses or assess completion or outcomes.

Retention and access

Usage records older than 90 days are removed during routine collection. The dashboard is restricted to the site owner’s signed-in account. Signed-in owner visits, known crawler user agents, detected browser automation and opted-out browsers are excluded. Bot filtering is imperfect and visitor counts are estimates.

The temporary enhanced tracker and its opt-in popup have been removed. Older enhanced browser identifiers are removed when updated pages load, and any retained decline preference is preserved as a browser exclusion. Any IP records saved during that temporary version are not displayed and expire after seven days; physical deletion runs on the next basic page-view collection.
